(a) This section applies to:\n(1) a physician licensed under IC 25-22.5; or\n(2) an advanced practice registered nurse licensed under IC 25-23;\nwho provides prenatal care within the scope of the provider's license.\n(b) Subject to section 8 of this chapter, an individual described in subsection (a) who:\n(1) diagnoses the pregnancy of a woman; or\n(2) is primarily responsible for providing prenatal care to a pregnant woman;\nshall order to be taken a sample of the pregnant woman's blood and shall submit the sample to an approved laboratory for a standard licensed diagnostic test for HIV.","path":["TITLE 16.
