A literacy coach shall prioritize the following:\n(1) Modeling effective instructional strategies for teachers.\n(2) Facilitating study groups.\n(3) Training teachers in:\n(A) data analysis; and\n(B) using data to differentiate instruction.\n(4) Coaching and mentoring colleagues.\n(5) Working with teachers to ensure that evidence based reading programs, which include:\n(A) comprehensive core reading programs;\n(B) supplemental reading programs; and\n(C) comprehensive intervention reading programs;\nare implemented with fidelity.\n(6) Training teachers to diagnose and address a reading deficiency.\n(7) Working with teachers in applying evidence based reading strategies in other content areas, including:\n(A) prioritizing time spent on those teachers;\n(B) activities and roles that will have the greatest impact on student achievement; and\n(C) prioritizing coaching and mentoring in classrooms.\n(8) Helping to increase instructional density to meet the needs of all students.\n(9) Working with students through:\n(A) whole and small group instruction; or\n(B) tutoring;\nin the context of modeling and coaching in or outside of a teacher's classroom.","path":["TITLE 20.
