(a) The commission consists of twelve (12) members, ten (10) of whom shall be appointed by the governor.\n(b) The term of a commission member is four (4) years.\n(c) The state health commissioner or the commissioner's designee shall serve as a member of the commission and the commissioner of labor or the commissioner's designee shall serve as a member of the commission.\n(d) Beginning August 1, 2023, the appointed commission members must contain one (1) of each of the following:\n(1) A fire official.\n(2) An architect licensed under IC 25-4.\n(3) A professional engineer licensed under IC 25-31.\n(4) A remodeler with experience in residential or commercial remodeling.\n(5) A contractor with experience building low income single family or low income multifamily housing.\n(6) A member of the Indiana Association of Building Officials.\n(7) A member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky with experience in the construction of commercial developments.\n(8) A member of the Indiana Apartment Association with experience in the construction of multifamily housing.\n(9) A member of the Indiana Builders Association with experience in the construction of single family housing.\n(10) A real estate broker licensed under IC 25-34.1.\n(e) Beginning August 1, 2023, a commission member must be a resident of Indiana.\n(f) Not more than five (5) of the appointed members of the commission may be affiliated with the same political party.","path":["TITLE 22.
