As used in this chapter, with respect to a vehicle that is the subject of a rental agreement, \"authorized driver\" means:\n(1) the renter of the vehicle;\n(2) the spouse of the renter, if the spouse:\n(A) is a licensed driver; and\n(B) satisfies the rental company's minimum age requirement for authorized drivers;\n(3) an employer or coworker of the renter, if the employer or coworker:\n(A) is engaged in a business activity with the renter;\n(B) is a licensed driver; and\n(C) satisfies the rental company's minimum age requirement for authorized drivers;\n(4) a person who operates the vehicle:\n(A) while parking the vehicle at a commercial establishment; or\n(B) in an emergency; or\n(5) a person expressly identified as an authorized driver in the rental agreement.","path":["TITLE 24.
