The commissioner may do the following to implement this article:\n(1) Adopt rules under IC 4-22-2.\n(2) Enter into a contract, agreement, or memorandum of understanding with the following:\n(A) A health benefit exchange.\n(B) An entity that contracts with, or is a subcontractor of, a health benefit exchange.\n(C) A federal or state agency.\n(D) A health benefit exchange operating in another state.\n(E) An agency of another state.\n(F) A health plan.\n(G) Another person, for purposes of the performance of necessary functions, as determined by the commissioner.\n(3) Enter with a person described in subdivision (2) into an information sharing agreement:\n(A) that concerns the disclosure and receiving of data necessary to implement this article or PPACA; and\n(B) that:\n(i) includes adequate protections with respect to confidentiality of the shared information; and\n(ii) complies with applicable state and federal law.","path":["TITLE 27.
