(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), a county may not establish a precinct under this chapter so that any precinct has less than six hundred (600) active voters.\n(b) A county may establish a precinct having less than six hundred (600) active voters if any of the following apply:\n(1) The precinct to be established would consist of an entire:\n(A) county commissioner district;\n(B) county council district;\n(C) township;\n(D) city;\n(E) town;\n(F) city common council district; or\n(G) town council district.\n(2) Establishing the precinct is required so that a boundary of a governmental entity or election district described in section 4 of this chapter is not crossed.\n(3) Establishing a precinct of less than six hundred (600) active voters would avoid establishing a split precinct.","path":["TITLE 3.
