(a) Except as provided in subsection (b), as used in this chapter, \"public entity\" means a:\n(1) political subdivision;\n(2) state agency;\n(3) school corporation; or\n(4) state educational institution.\n(b) The term does not include an acute care hospital licensed under IC 16-21 that is established and operated under IC 16-22-2, IC 16-22-8, or IC 16-23, or a department of public utilities established under IC 8-1-11.1.","path":["TITLE 4.
