(a) \"Public works\" means either of the following:\n(1) The process of altering, building, constructing, demolishing, improving, or repairing a public building or structure.\n(2) A public improvement to real property owned by, or leased in the name of, the state.\n(b) The term includes the following:\n(1) The preparation of drawings, plans, and specifications for a process or improvement described in subsection (a).\n(2) The routine operation, routine repair, or routine maintenance of existing structures, buildings, or real property.","path":["TITLE 4.
