(a) As used in this chapter, \"social development company\" means a company that is:\n(1) licensed by the United States Department of Treasury under the Federal Trade Sanction Reform and Export Enhancement Act of 2000 (P.L. 106-387); or\n(2) lawfully operating under the laws of another country whose primary purpose in a state sponsor of terror is to provide humanitarian goods or services.\n(b) A company described in subsection (a)(2) includes a company whose primary purpose is to provide:\n(1) food;\n(2) medicine or medical equipment;\n(3) agricultural supplies or infrastructure;\n(4) educational opportunities;\n(5) journalism related activities;\n(6) spiritual related activities or materials;\n(7) information or information materials;\n(8) general consumer goods; or\n(9) services of a purely clerical or reporting nature;\nto aid the inhabitants of a state sponsor of terror.","path":["TITLE 5.
