{"data":{"id":"us-in/ic-5-2-6-8.5","jurisdiction":"us-in","citation":"IC 5-2-6-8.5","heading":"Duties; statewide nonprofit domestic violence coalition","body":"Sec. 8.5. (a) As used in this section, \"division\" has the meaning set forth in IC 5-2-6.7-1.\n(b) The division shall do the following:\n(1) Coordinate and monitor programs that receive funds from the domestic violence prevention and treatment fund under IC 5-2-6.7.\n(2) Develop a statewide plan to provide services for the prevention and treatment of domestic violence.\n(3) Review and recommend the approval or disapproval of grants or contracts in accordance with IC 5-2-6.7.\n(4) Develop and recommend a plan to coordinate funding of domestic violence and sexual assault programs.\n(c) Before the division takes any action under subsection (b), the division shall seek input from a statewide nonprofit domestic violence coalition as designated by the United States Department of Health and Human Services under 42 U.S.C. 43 et seq. If a statewide nonprofit domestic violence coalition does not exist, the division may take action under subsection (b) without additional input.","path":["TITLE 5.
