{"data":{"id":"us-in/ic-5-26.5-1-3","jurisdiction":"us-in","citation":"IC 5-26.5-1-3","heading":"\"Domestic violence\"","body":"Sec. 3. \"Domestic violence\" includes conduct that is:\n(1) an element of an offense under IC 35-42 or a threat to commit an act described in IC 35-42 by a person against:\n(A) a family or household member; or\n(B) an incapacitated individual under the guardianship or otherwise subject to the control of the person;\n(2) an element or threat to commit an act constituting an element of a misdemeanor or felony under the laws of:\n(A) the United States;\n(B) another state; or\n(C) an Indian tribe;\nthat is substantially similar to an offense described in subdivision (1); or\n(3) an attempt or conspiracy to engage in conduct described in subdivision (1) or (2);\nregardless of whether the act or threat has been reported to a law enforcement agency or results in a criminal prosecution or whether the person who engages in the conduct is an adult.","path":["TITLE 5.
