(a) This chapter applies to the certification of a motor carrier providing intrastate transportation by motor vehicle of property or passengers for compensation.\n(b) Section 18 of this chapter applies to the regulation of the following persons:\n(1) A motor carrier described in subsection (a).\n(2) Except as provided in section 18(j) of this chapter, a private carrier of persons or property, or both.","path":["TITLE 8.
