(a) A person may not knowingly or intentionally sell, lease, trade, or transfer a motor vehicle to an Indiana resident in which is installed, as part of the motor vehicle's supplemental restraint system, any of the following:\n(1) A counterfeit supplemental restraint system component.\n(2) A nonfunctional airbag.\n(3) A component that is not designed in accordance with federal motor vehicle safety standards for the specific make, model, and year of the motor vehicle in which it is installed.\n(b) A person who knowingly or intentionally violates this section commits a Level 6 felony.","path":["TITLE 9.
