{"data":{"id":"us-in/ic-9-24-6.1-3.3","jurisdiction":"us-in","citation":"IC 9-24-6.1-3.3","heading":"False public records; violations","body":"Sec. 3.3. (a) If an individual:\n(1) makes, presents, or uses a public record with knowledge of the falsity of the public record and with the intent that the public record be taken as genuine; and\n(2) represents that a false public record made, presented, or used is a valid commercial driver's license under section 3 of this chapter;\nthe individual commits a Level 6 felony.\n(b) If an individual knowingly:\n(1) holds a commercial driver's license that was issued by any jurisdiction other than a state, territory, or possession of the United States; and\n(2) does not have the additional entry documents required under 8 CFR 214.2(b)(4) in the individual's possession while operating a commercial motor vehicle;\nthe individual commits a Level 6 felony.\n(c) If an individual violates subsection (a) or (b), in addition to the criminal penalties, the following apply:\n(1) The individual is subject to a civil penalty of five thousand dollars ($5,000).\n(2) The business entity that hired the individual to operate the commercial motor vehicle the individual was operating at the time of the violation is subject to a civil penalty of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000).","path":["TITLE 9.
