(a) Proof of financial responsibility as requested by the bureau:\n(1) must be in effect on the date of the request; and\n(2) may be given by any of the following methods:\n(A) Proof that a policy or policies of operator or motor vehicle liability insurance, as applicable, have been obtained and are in full force and effect, including through a secure online insurance verification system under IC 9-25-11.\n(B) Proof that a bond has been duly executed.\n(C) Proof that deposit has been made of money or securities.\n(b) Proof of financial responsibility as requested by a law enforcement officer:\n(1) must be in effect on the date of the request; and\n(2) may be provided in a paper or electronic format or may be verified by the law enforcement officer through a secure online insurance verification system under IC 9-25-11. For purposes of this subdivision, electronic formats include the display of an electronic image on a telecommunications device.","path":["TITLE 9. MOTOR VEHICLES","ARTICLE 25.
