It is an unfair practice for a dealer to sell a new motor vehicle having a trade name, trade or service mark, or related characteristic for which the dealer does not have a franchise in effect at the time of the sale. However, a motor vehicle having more than one (1) trade name, trade or service mark, or related characteristic as a result of modification or further manufacture by a manufacturer, converter manufacturer, or an automotive mobility dealer licensed under this article may be sold by a franchisee appointed by that manufacturer, converter manufacturer, or automotive mobility dealer.","path":["TITLE 9.
