(a) This section applies to a motor vehicle that is purchased for scrap, sale of parts, shredding, compacting, or any other type of dismantling or destruction.\n(b) An automotive salvage recycler must:\n(1) report the purchase of a motor vehicle to the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System not later than seventy-two (72) hours after the motor vehicle is purchased; and\n(2) provide to the seller a valid National Motor Vehicle Title Information System report identification number.","path":["TITLE 9.
