{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-12-1786","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 12-1786","heading":"Same; resolution.","body":"Upon receiving the recommendation and report of the district planning committee, the governing body of the city may initiate the formation of a business improvement district by the adoption of a resolution of intent. Such resolution of intent shall contain the following: (1) A description of the boundaries of the proposed district; (2) a general description of the services which are proposed to be provided within the district pursuant to this act; (3) the estimated annual cost of providing such services during the next three years; (4) the proposed method or methods by which the city proposes to raise the revenue to finance such services; (5) such other information as deemed advisable by the governing body; and (6) the time and place of a public hearing to be held by the governing body to consider establishment of the district.","path":["Chapter 12.—CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES","Article 17.—BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND GROUNDS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch12/012_017_0086.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:10:18Z","sha256":"c34c4e6385505bd9b70096eea921a6998452569c89caec724a4354ca04851b60","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-12-1785","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-12-1787"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
