{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-21-6204","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 21-6204","heading":"Maintaining a public nuisance; permitting a public nuisance; reports.","body":"(a) Maintaining a public nuisance is knowingly causing or permitting a condition to exist which injures or endangers the public health, safety or welfare.\n(b) Permitting a public nuisance is knowingly permitting property under the control of the offender to be used to maintain a public nuisance, as defined in subsection (a).\n(c) Maintaining a public nuisance or permitting a public nuisance is a class C misdemeanor.\n(d) (1) Upon a conviction of a violation this section for maintaining a public nuisance or permitting a public nuisance on the premises of a club or drinking establishment licensed under the club and drinking establishment act, the court shall report such conviction to the director of alcoholic beverage control.\n(2) Upon a conviction of a violation of this section for maintaining a public nuisance or permitting a public nuisance on the premises of a retailer licensed under K.S.A. 41-2701 et seq., and amendments thereto, the court shall report such conviction to the governing body of the city or county which issued the license.","path":["Chapter 21.—CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS","Article 62.—CRIMES AGAINST THE PUBLIC PEACE"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch21/021_062_0004.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:11:12Z","sha256":"d80c65745641683d0fa55ef5986f5a1bb0db2ce7cc956159c4734f61e4fa5ae0","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-21-6203","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-21-6205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
