{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-32-1308","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 32-1308","heading":"Exemptions from provisions of act.","body":"Exemptions to the provisions set forth in this act are as follows:\n(a) Institutions accredited by the American zoo and aquarium association or the zoological association of America shall be exempt from K.S.A. 32-1302 and 32-1303, and amendments thereto.\n(b) A wildlife sanctuary registered with the local animal control authority shall be exempt from K.S.A. 32-1302, and amendments thereto.\n(c) The Kansas department of wildlife and parks, or a person issued a permit by the secretary pursuant to K.S.A. 32-952, and amendments thereto, shall be exempt from this act.\n(d) A licensed or accredited research or medical institution shall be exempt from K.S.A. 32-1302 and 32-1303, and amendments thereto.\n(e) A United States department of agriculture licensed exhibitor of dangerous regulated animals while transporting or as part of a circus, carnival, rodeo or fair shall be exempt from this act.","path":["Chapter 32.—WILDLIFE, PARKS AND RECREATION","Article 13.—DANGEROUS REGULATED ANIMALS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch32/032_013_0008.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:11:41Z","sha256":"5c1d0a5255e541b12e7666aff143adf5c5dc526cdd2d02b5d399da6f64ba9dd7","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-32-1307","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-32-1309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
