{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-38-148","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 38-148","heading":"Same; annual report to the legislature; rules and regulations.","body":"(a) The secretary, on or before the first day of the regular legislative session, shall report annually to the legislature:\n(1) The number of children participating in the program and the breakdown of where these children were placed, with either a grandparent or other close relative;\n(2) the number of children moved from a foster care placement or other state custody to a grandparent or other close relative;\n(3) an overview of the moneys spent on the program; and\n(4) the cost-savings analysis of implementing the program by having the children placed with a grandparent or other close relative instead of being placed in state custody.\n(b) The secretary may adopt any rules and regulations necessary to implement the provisions of this act.","path":["Chapter 38.—MINORS","Article 1.—GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch38/038_001_0048.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:11:44Z","sha256":"1d1f411ef6d957ffd5ae719ecdcad38912dec22089a613c394bdf2da505b494b","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-38-147","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-38-149"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
