{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-40-2-241","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 40-2,241","heading":"Citation of act; definitions.","body":"(a) K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 40-2,241 through 40-2,250, and amendments thereto, shall be known and may be cited as the Kansas real time motor vehicle insurance verification act.\n(b) As used in this act:\n(1) \"Act\" means the Kansas real time motor vehicle insurance verification act.\n(2) \"Commercial vehicle coverage\" means any coverage provided to an insured, regardless of number of vehicles covered, under a commercial coverage form and rated from a commercial manual approved by the department.\n(3) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of insurance.\n(4) \"Department\" means the Kansas insurance department.\n(5) \"Insurance verification system\" means the web-based system for online verification of motor vehicle liability insurance.\n(6) \"KDOR\" means the Kansas department of revenue.","path":["Chapter 40.—INSURANCE","Article 2.—GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch40/040_002_0241.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:11:55Z","sha256":"2e5168312866cefc2ac1bb4eb00fd11a94d7410d5dc8777872a3237ea728d3db","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-40-2-240","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-40-2-242"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
