{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-44-1120","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 44-1120","heading":"Applicability, construction and effective date of 1988 act.","body":"(a) This act and the amendments made by this act shall take effect on the effective date of this act, except that, with respect to any employee who is subject to a collective bargaining agreement, such amendments shall not apply until the termination of such collective bargaining agreement or January 1, 1990, whichever occurs first, if such collective bargaining agreement:\n(1) Is in effect prior to the effective date of this act;\n(2) terminates on or after the effective date of this act;\n(3) has any provision which was entered into by a labor organization (as defined by section 6(d)(4) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.C. 206(d)(4)); and\n(4) contains any provision that would be superseded by such amendments, but for the operation of this section.\n(b) This section shall be a part of and supplemental to the Kansas age discrimination in employment act.","path":["Chapter 44.—LABOR AND INDUSTRIES","Article 11.—DISCRIMINATION IN EMPLOYMENT"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch44/044_011_0020.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-15T06:16:36Z","sha256":"a4413e08c54e69a928562582410928dd1bf5f0b39ab8f4de295e3eea724fbbc8","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-44-1119","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-44-1121"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
