{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-1406","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 58-1406","heading":"Act not applicable to certain dwellings.","body":"The provisions of this act shall not apply to any dwelling which is:\n(a) A private residence which is owner-occupied or which is under contract for occupation by the owner;\n(b) a private residence for which an individual tax credit is received;\n(c) a private residence which is financed with funds from the federal housing administration, rural development programs administered by the United States department of agriculture or under a single-family mortgage guarantee assistance program;\n(d) a private residence for which rental vouchers or certificates under 42 U.S.C. § 1437 are accepted;\n(e) financed with public funds other than state funds or federal funds administered by the state or a state agency; or\n(f) a dwelling the design or construction of which commenced prior to July 1, 2002, as evidenced by (1) a payment for such design or construction, (2) a contract for such design or construction or (3) or other proof sufficient to the director as prescribed by rules and regulations.","path":["Chapter 58.—PERSONAL AND REAL PROPERTY","Article 14.—ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS FOR CERTAIN DWELLINGS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch58/058_014_0006.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-15T06:20:06Z","sha256":"35fd091a9a12c12a264cd8a8ae82c93e1e543cafae2aacfe3cfb1df7a9aae286","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-1405","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-1407"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
