{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-2541","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 58-2541","heading":"Arrangements not subject to act.","body":"Unless created to avoid the application of this act, the following arrangements are not governed by this act:\n(a) Residence at an institution, public or private, if incidental to detention or the provision of medical, geriatric, educational, counseling, religious or similar service;\n(b) occupancy under a contract of sale of a dwelling unit or the property of which it is a part, if the occupant is the purchaser or a person who succeeds to the purchaser's interest;\n(c) occupancy by a member of a fraternal or social organization in the portion of a structure operated for the benefit of the organization;\n(d) transient occupancy in a hotel, motel or rooming house;\n(e) occupancy by an employee of a landlord whose right to occupancy is conditional upon employment in and about the premises;\n(f) occupancy by an owner of a condominium unit or a holder of a proprietary lease in a cooperative; and\n(g) occupancy under a rental agreement covering premises used by the occupant primarily for agricultural purposes.","path":["Chapter 58.—PERSONAL AND REAL PROPERTY","Article 25.—LANDLORDS AND TENANTS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch58/058_025_0041.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-15T06:20:21Z","sha256":"4d60bac318e8f9ee97575d0ea77a09fc129e7fa706b9f3699d7aa3b3b7be427f","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-2540","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-2542"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
