{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-9a-306","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 58-9a-306","heading":"Unitrust rate.","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in K.S.A. 58-9a-309(b)(1), and amendments thereto, a unitrust rate may be:\n(1) A fixed unitrust rate; or\n(2) a unitrust rate that is determined for each period using:\n(A) A market index or other published data; or\n(B) a mathematical blend of market indices or other published data over a stated number of preceding periods.\n(b) Except as otherwise provided in K.S.A. 58-9a-309(b)(1), and amendments thereto, a unitrust policy may provide:\n(1) A limit on how high the unitrust rate determined under subsection (a)(2) may rise;\n(2) a limit on how low the unitrust rate determined under subsection (a)(2) may fall;\n(3) a limit on how much the unitrust rate determined under subsection (a)(2) may increase over the unitrust rate for the preceding period or a mathematical blend of unitrust rates over a stated number of preceding periods;\n(4) a limit on how much the unitrust rate determined under subsection (a)(2) may decrease below the unitrust rate for the preceding period or a mathematical blend of unitrust rates over a stated number of preceding periods; or\n(5) a mathematical blend of any of the unitrust rates determined under subsection (a)(2) and paragraphs (1) through (4).","path":["Chapter 58.—PERSONAL AND REAL PROPERTY","Article 9a.—UNIFORM FIDUCIARY INCOME AND PRINCIPAL ACT"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch58/058_009a_0306.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-15T06:21:01Z","sha256":"86b73278092a41d007c260cafc43828e414a4ad8e448e42c7967f50918b6b8c3","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-9a-305","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-58-9a-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
