{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-60-4708","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 60-4708","heading":"Association actions; property manager actions; unlawful acts.","body":"(a) A person shall not provide or offer to provide anything of monetary value to a property manager of an association or to a member or officer of an executive board of an association to induce the property manager, member or officer to encourage or discourage the association to file a claim for damages arising from a construction defect.\n(b) A property manager shall not accept anything of value given in exchange for encouraging or discouraging the association that such property manager manages to file a claim for damages arising from a construction defect.\n(c) A member or officer of an executive board of an association shall not accept anything of value given in exchange for encouraging or discouraging the association of which such person is a member or officer of the executive board to file a claim for damages arising from a construction defect.\n(d) A person who willfully violates this section shall be guilty of a class C nonperson misdemeanor.","path":["Chapter 60.—PROCEDURE, CIVIL","Article 47.—CONSTRUCTION DEFECTS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch60/060_047_0008.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-15T06:22:16Z","sha256":"9a26929a69a66d5f95913ff2a671e9f6b7de52da3ecb1247922846feef111812","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-60-4707","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-60-4709"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
