{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-32-285","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 74-32,285","heading":"Grant eligibility requirements; grant renewal requirements.","body":"(a) To be eligible for a Kansas adult learner grant, a student shall:\n(1) Be a Kansas resident;\n(2) be 25 years of age or older at the time the student's first course that is funded by a grant begins;\n(3) complete the required grant application on such forms and in such manner as established by the state board of regents;\n(4) complete the free application for federal student aid for the academic year in which the student applies to receive a Kansas adult learner grant; and\n(5) enroll as a full-time student or part-time student at an eligible postsecondary educational institution in an adult learner grant eligible program.\n(b) To continue to receive a Kansas adult learner grant, a student shall:\n(1) Maintain satisfactory academic progress, including a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, or the equivalent thereof, toward completion of the adult learner grant eligible program;\n(2) complete a grant renewal application on such forms and in such manner as established by the state board of regents; and\n(3) complete the free application for federal student aid for the academic year for which the student applies to renew the grant.","path":["Chapter 74.—STATE BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND AUTHORITIES","Article 32.—STATE BOARD OF REGENTS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch74/074_032_0285.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:14:13Z","sha256":"9123a97590d5852e4889d3d94cb2a3ce4a2eda8f2ed542fb7fd61c0c1801286f","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-32-284","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-32-286"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
