{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-3259","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 74-3259","heading":"Same; application; agreement requirements upon selection for scholarship.","body":"In order to apply for qualification for an ROTC service scholarship, an eligible student, if selected to receive such a scholarship, shall agree to:\n(a) Maintain standards of academic excellence and other standards required to remain in good standing;\n(b) maintain minimum full-time enrollment of at least 12 credit hours each semester;\n(c) participate in the reserve officers' training corps program;\n(d) demonstrate the qualities required in a commissioned officer;\n(e) immediately upon graduation from an ROTC institution, accept a commission as a second lieutenant and serve for not less than four years as a commissioned officer in the Kansas national guard; and\n(f) upon failure to satisfy an agreement to serve as a commissioned officer in the Kansas national guard for the required four-year period, repay to the state amounts as provided in K.S.A. 74-3260, and amendments thereto.","path":["Chapter 74.—STATE BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND AUTHORITIES","Article 32.—STATE BOARD OF REGENTS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch74/074_032_0059.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:14:10Z","sha256":"68d27b0d4b0cc7b7e51e50c4846896af8cb27a23c2a74151e50b5328e74b083a","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-3258","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-3260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
