{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-49-307","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 74-49,307","heading":"Employer credits; change; employer contributions to death and disability fund.","body":"(a) On a quarterly basis, a percentage of compensation shall be credited to each member's retirement annuity account, as follows:\n(1) Three percent of compensation for each member who has less than five years of service;\n(2) four percent of compensation for each member who has at least five but less than 12 years of service;\n(3) five percent of compensation for each member who has at least 12 but less than 24 years of service; and\n(4) six percent of compensation for each member who has 24 or more years of service.\n(b) An active member's employer shall contribute a percentage of compensation, determined by the board, which must be allocated to the death and long-term disability plan under K.S.A. 74-4927, and amendments thereto.\n(c) The legislature may from time to time prospectively change employer credits provided in this section, and expressly reserves the right to do so.","path":["Chapter 74.—STATE BOARDS, COMMISSIONS AND AUTHORITIES","Article 49.—PUBLIC EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEMS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch74/074_049_0307.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:14:17Z","sha256":"17ba7f5deb9755d2dc5ac25700944c72650d4bbd1d662c4257788dcdc4f2b301","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-49-306","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-74-49-308"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
