{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-15-108","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 8-15,108","heading":"Operation of golf cart; where; when.","body":"(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a golf cart: (1) On any interstate highway, federal highway or state highway; (2) on any public highway or street within the corporate limits of any city unless authorized by such city; or (3) on any street or highway with a posted speed limit greater than 30 miles per hour.\n(b) The provisions of subsection (a) shall not prohibit a golf cart from crossing a federal or state highway or a street or highway with a posted speed limit in excess of 30 miles per hour.\n(c) A golf cart shall be operated on any public street or highway only during the hours between sunrise and sunset, unless equipped with: (1) Lights as required by law for motorcycles; and (2) a properly mounted slow-moving vehicle emblem as required by K.S.A. 8-1717, and amendments thereto.\n(d) This section shall be part of and supplemental to the uniform act regulating traffic on highways.","path":["Chapter 8.—AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES","Article 15.—UNIFORM ACT REGULATING TRAFFIC; RULES OF THE ROAD"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch08/008_015_0108.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:09:59Z","sha256":"22677be855868fcd9b40e8f0f928599655dbaccea868bbf167332bffb6b3ac46","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-15-107","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-15-109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
