{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-251","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 8-251","heading":"Suspending or revoking privileges of nonresidents; reporting convictions and bond or collateral forfeitures.","body":"(a) The privilege of driving a motor vehicle on the highways of this state given to a nonresident hereunder shall be subject to suspension or revocation by the division in like manner and for like cause as a driver's license may be suspended or revoked.\n(b) The division is further authorized and directed, upon receiving a record of the conviction in this state of a nonresident driver of a motor vehicle of any offense under the motor-vehicle laws of this state or notice of the forfeiture of any bond or collateral given for such violation, to forthwith forward a certified copy of such record or notice to the motor-vehicle administrator in the state wherein the person so convicted is a resident.","path":["Chapter 8.—AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES","Article 2.—DRIVERS' LICENSES"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch08/008_002_0051.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:09:54Z","sha256":"2a833b4f2e258c50651d7f7747335b2bcf460a18737e34c42d7b3927765a664a","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-250","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-252"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
