{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-2809","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 8-2809","heading":"Same; peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program insurable interest in shared vehicle.","body":"(a) Notwithstanding any other law, statute, rule or regulation to the contrary, a peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program shall have an insurable interest in a shared vehicle during the vehicle sharing period.\n(b) Nothing in this section shall be construed to require that a peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program maintain the coverage mandated by K.S.A. 8-2803, and amendments thereto.\n(c) A peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program may own and maintain as the named insured one or more policies of motor vehicle liability insurance that provides coverage for:\n(1) Liabilities assumed by the peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program under a peer-to-peer vehicle sharing program agreement;\n(2) any liability of the shared vehicle owner;\n(3) damage or loss to the shared motor vehicle; or\n(4) any liability of the shared vehicle driver.","path":["Chapter 8.—AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES","Article 28.—PEER-TO-PEER VEHICLE SHARING PROGRAM ACT"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch08/008_028_0009.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:10:02Z","sha256":"1ca0811f32cb90292882c6e7eee4219f2f687722df86e947c51088a7421d5c4b","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-2808","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-8-2810"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
