{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-84-9-327","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 84-9-327","heading":"Priority of security interests in deposit account.","body":"The following rules govern priority among conflicting security interests in the same deposit account:\n(1) A security interest held by a secured party having control of the deposit account under K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 84-9-104, and amendments thereto, has priority over a conflicting security interest held by a secured party that does not have control.\n(2) Except as otherwise provided in paragraphs (3) and (4), security interests perfected by control under K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 84-9-314, and amendments thereto, rank according to priority in time of obtaining control.\n(3) Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (4), a security interest held by the bank with which the deposit account is maintained has priority over a conflicting security interest held by another secured party.\n(4) A security interest perfected by control under K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 84-9-104(a)(3), and amendments thereto, has priority over a security interest held by the bank with which the deposit account is maintained.","path":["Chapter 84.—UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE","Article 9.—SECURED TRANSACTIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch84/084_009_0327.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:15:38Z","sha256":"0323fc8cfb02f8865cb448771386aa281905a42632171cc7fe19a99bc28019d9","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-84-9-326","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-84-9-328"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
