{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-566","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 9-566","heading":"Controlling influence, presumption.","body":"(a) A person is presumed to exercise a controlling influence when such person holds the power to vote, directly or indirectly, at least 10% of the outstanding voting shares or voting interests of a licensee or person in control of a licensee.\n(b) A person presumed to exercise a controlling influence pursuant to this section may rebut the presumption of control if the person is a passive investor.\n(c) For purposes of determining the percentage of a person controlled by any individual, the individual's interest shall be aggregated with the interest of any other immediate family member, including the individual's spouse, parents, children, siblings, mothers-in-law and fathers-in-law, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and any other person who shares such individual's home.\n(d) This section shall take effect on and after January 1, 2025.","path":["Chapter 9.—BANKS AND BANKING; TRUST COMPANIES","Article 5.—MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch09/009_005_0066.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:10:03Z","sha256":"777be22450c7a8396c4d73282af656fef54b7bb19108b9a0c45534e50861b1d3","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-565","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-567"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
