{"data":{"id":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-581","jurisdiction":"us-ks","citation":"K.S.A. 9-581","heading":"Forwarding moneys received for transmission, excption; failure to forward.","body":"(a) Every licensee shall forward all moneys received for transmission in accordance with the terms of the agreement between the licensee and the sender unless the licensee reasonably believes or has a reasonable basis to believe that the sender may be a victim of fraud or that a crime or violation of law or any rules and regulations has occurred, is occurring or may occur.\n(b) If a licensee fails to forward money received for transmission in accordance with this section, the licensee shall respond to inquiries by the sender with the reason for the failure unless providing a response would violate a state or federal law or rules and regulations.\n(c) This section shall take effect on and after January 1, 2025.","path":["Chapter 9.—BANKS AND BANKING; TRUST COMPANIES","Article 5.—MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.ksrevisor.gov/statutes/chapters/ch09/009_005_0081.html","current_through":"2025 legislative session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T15:10:03Z","sha256":"0e7faff9544ac90dc230142f2a3d107a33c12de0574785aed4a4d8b6ed0f4545","source_id":"us-ks","stale":false,"prev":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-580","next":"us-ks/k.s.a.-9-582"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
