Indiana, No. 81, Original, decided\nNovember 4, 1985, thence to the po int on the Ohio River common to the boundary\nlines for the States of Indiana, Illinois, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky as\ndescribed in the case cited above.\n(2) The boundary with Ohio begins at the point on the Ohio River common to the\nboundary lines for  the States of Ohio, West Virginia, and the Commonwealth of\nKentucky, thence generally northwesterly, northerly, and westerly along the\nboundary line common to the States of Ohio and Kentucky, the boundary line being\na series of straight lines between sequentially numbered geodetic points, 1927 North\nAmerican Datum, as fixed by the Supreme Court of the United States in Ohio v.\nKentucky, No. 27, Original, decided April 15, 1985, thence to the point on the Ohio\nRiver common to the boundary lines for the State s of Ohio, Indiana, and the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky as described in the case cited above.\n(3) The boundary with Illinois is the low water mark on the northern side of the Ohio\nRiver, beginning with the point on the Ohio River common to the boundary lines\nfor the States of Indiana, Illinois, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, thence due\nwest and downstream with the low water mark on the northern side of the Ohio\nRiver, and into the Mississippi River, intersecting a line drawn through the center of\nthe Mississippi.","path":["KRS Chapter 1"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=4","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:20Z","sha256":"54132266018b539c89c4f397ef4a883615d227b70bd29539b56276420f01fb3a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-1.100","next":"us-ky/krs-1.300"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
