{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-100.191","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 100.191","heading":"Research requirements for comprehensive plan.","body":"All elements of the comprehensive plan shall be based upon but not limited to, the\nfollowing research, analysis, and projections:\n(1) An analysis of the general distribution and characteristics of past and present\npopulation and a forecast of the extent an d character of future population as far into\nthe future as is reasonable to foresee;\n(2) An economic survey and analysis of the major existing public and private business\nactivities, and a forecast of future economic levels, including a forecast of\nanticipated necessary actions by the community to increase the quality of life of its\ncurrent and future population through the encouragement of economic development\nas far into the future as is reasonable to foresee;\n(3) Research and analysis as to the nature, e xtent, adequacy, and the needs of the\ncommunity for the existing land and building use, transportation, and community\nfacilities in terms of their general location, character and extent, including, the\nidentification and mapping of agricultural lands of st atewide importance and\nanalysis of the impacts of community land use needs on these lands; and\n(4) Additional background information for the elements of the comprehensive plan may\ninclude any other research analysis, and projections which, in the judgment of the\nplanning commission, will further serve the purposes of the comprehensive plan.","path":["KRS Chapter 100"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26713","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:04Z","sha256":"dc72fa8978f729ed3fc91eb6fe9e5e94181ffc79d2efcd1ef6aa4da4f6f3f1cc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-100.190","next":"us-ky/krs-100.193"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
