{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-100.207","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 100.207","heading":"Text and map of zoning regulations -- Notice and publication.","body":"(1) Before a city or county enacts zoning regulations, as authorized by KRS 100.201,\nthe planning commission shall prepare the text and map of all zoning regulations\nand shall hold at least one (1) public hearing. Notice of the public hearing shall be\ngiven in accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 424.\n(2) Subsequent to the public hearing, the planning commission shall submit, along with\ntheir recommendation, a copy of the approved zoning regulation text and map to the\nvarious legislative bodies and fis cal courts for adoption. A majority of the entire\nlegislative body or fiscal court shall be required for passage of an ordinance\nadopting these regulations. Notwithstanding publication requirements, the\nordinance by which these regulations are originally a dopted may be published by\nstating the title and general description of the regulations and referring to the place\nwithin the unit where a copy of the complete ordinance may be examined without\ncharge.\n(3) The procedure for amending the zoning regulation text and map shall be as set forth\nin KRS 100.211.","path":["KRS Chapter 100"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26722","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:04Z","sha256":"4ee9ec10a06d24803bddf8d3c7055ede3731083afdc56d53fc3ed82c5f6d7b1b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-100.205","next":"us-ky/krs-100.208"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
