{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-100.221","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 100.221","heading":"Meetings of board -- Quorum -- Minutes -- Bylaws -- Hearing examiner.","body":"(1) Each board of adjustment shall conduct meetings at the call of the chairman who\nshall give written or oral notice to all members of the board at least seven (7) days\nprior to the meeting, which notice shall contain the date, time and place for the\nmeeting, and the subject or subjects which will be discussed.\n(2) A simple majority of the total membership of a board of adjustment as established\nby agreement shall constitute a quorum. Any member of a board of adjustment who\nhas any direct or indirect financial interest in the outcome of any question before the\nbody shall disclose the nature of the interest and shall disqualify himself from\nvoting on the question.\n(3) All boards of adjustment shall adopt bylaws for the transaction of business and shall\nkeep minu tes and records of all proceedings, including regulations, transactions,\nfindings, and determinations, and the number of votes for and against each question,\nand if any member is absent or abstains from voting, indicating the fact, all of which\nshall, immediately after adoption, be filed in the office of the board. If the board has\nno office, such records may be kept in custody of an officer of the board and shall\nbe available to the general public. A transcript of the minutes of a board of\nadjustment shall  be provided if requested by a party, at the expense of the\nrequesting party, and the transcript shall constitute the record.\n(4) A board of adjustment may appoint one (1) or more of its members to act as hearing\nexaminer to preside over a public hearing o r public meeting and make\nrecommendations to the board based upon a transcript or record of the hearing.","path":["KRS Chapter 100"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=26735","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:04Z","sha256":"e60abdbd954ad8507e6ea33e076377dab5c0158946ba2dfed94424e42a8ab33b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-100.220","next":"us-ky/krs-100.223"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
