{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-104.030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 104.030","heading":"Power of cities to extend flood control systems outside city boundaries --","body":"Acquisition of property.\n(1) For the purpose of protecting property within and beyond their limits from floods or\nhigh water, cities of all classes are authorized to extend a f lood control system\noutside the city boundaries by constructing, enlarging, extending, equipping,\nmaintaining and operating walls or other barriers with necessary appurtenances and\nequipment beyond the boundaries of the city.\n(2) For that purpose every city may acquire all necessary and convenient land, rights of\nway and other property therefor by gift, purchase or condemnation, and cause the\nwalls or barriers and their appurtenances and equipment to be erected, maintained\nand operated.
