{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-107.410","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 107.410","heading":"Lease of buildings and facilities to governmental units -- Sublease.","body":"(1) Any governmental unit within the territorial limits of the county shall be authorized\nto lease all or any part of the buildings and related facilities from the district, subject\nto constitutional limitations, and the district shall have the power to lease buildings\nor any part thereof to said governmental units. Any governmental unit which enters\ninto such contract of lease may sublease a part or parts of such leased premises to\nother governmental units within the territorial limits of the county. No such contract\nof lease or any sublease to another governmental unit of a particular building shall\nbe entered into for a period of more than forty (40) years but said contract of lease\nand each such sublease may be renewable for a like or lesser period. The rent als to\nbe paid to the district by the lessee shall be specified in the lease agreement, and the\ndistrict may agree to contribute a portion or all of such payments from its own\nfunds. The district shall be bound for the amount of the contribution agreed upo n,\nprovided, however, that such contribution will be payable only from such income\nand revenue as actually has been provided to the district.\n(2) In determining the amount of the contribution which the board agrees to pay the\nboard shall take into consideration any previous contributions which may have been\nallowed to the particular lessee, previous contributions which may have been\nallowed to other governmental units, and the relative assessed values of the property\nin the various governmental units in the county.","path":["KRS Chapter 107"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=27186","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:10Z","sha256":"566d5083218b58c39a1918469bc1c5aabc55d9190f354783f099d92af76a9622","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-107.400","next":"us-ky/krs-107.420"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
