{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-108.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 108.040","heading":"Director -- Appointment -- Powers and duties.","body":"(1) The director shall be appointed by the council and shall serve at their pleasure; but\nthe director shall not be removed unless he has received from the council a notice of\nintention to remove him and the reasons therefor and unless a public hearing has\nbeen held on the charges. The director shall, as the chief executive officer of the\ndistrict, appoint and remove heads of departments of the district, with the approval\nof the council, appoint and remove other employees of the district, supervise their\nactivities, and fix their compensation, subject to regulations adopted by the council.\nHe shall receive the compensation fixed by the council. No residence qualification\nshall be required of the director.
