{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-109.059","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 109.059","heading":"Use of solid waste management facility -- Exception.","body":"Any county or waste management district may require the use of any solid waste\nmanagement facility or other facility, meeting the standards of the department set by\nregulations issued pursuant to KRS Chapter 224 by all persons situated within the\ngeographical boundaries thereof; such mandatory use of any solid waste management\nfacility shall not be applicable to any city within the geographical boundaries of any such\ncounty or waste management district provided that:\n(1) The city owns and operates a municipal solid waste management facility; and\n(2) The solid waste management facility is not a sanitary landfill; and\n(3) The solid waste management facility was in existence prior to June 17, 1978; and\n(4) The solid waste management facility complies with the i ntent and purposes of KRS\nChapters 109 and 224.","path":["KRS Chapter 109"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=27259","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:10Z","sha256":"a7288cad6229857dec03439ea253e706d749bff65a08c58d03aa7fb07e10b7fa","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-109.056","next":"us-ky/krs-109.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
