{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-11.028","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 11.028","heading":"Installation of display representing United States Senator Addison Mitchell","body":"McConnell.\n(1) Pursuant to KRS 11.026(1), if a statue, monument, or object of art is privately\nfunded and created depicting or representing United States Senator Addison\nMitchell McConnell, and that statue, monument, or object of art is offered to the\nCommonwealth of Kentucky as a donation, the state curator shall accept that statue,\nmonument, or object of art for display in the New State Capitol rotunda.\n(2) Notwithstanding the authority granted to the Historic Properties Advisory\nCommission in KRS 11.027(3), the commission shall reserve a place in one (1) of\nthe four (4) corners of the first floor of the New State Capitol rotunda for the\ninstallation and permanent display of the statue, monument, or object of art referred\nto in subsection (1) of this section.\n(3) Pursuant to KRS 11.027(3)(a) and (d)1., the General Assembly hereby identifies\nand authorizes the installation and permanent display of the statue, monument, or\nobject of art referred to in subsection (1) of this section in the place designated in\nsubsection (2) of this section, and the commission and the Department for Facilities\nand Support Services in the Finance and Administration Cabinet shall take\nwhatever action is required to install and display the statue, monument, or object of\nart upon the reopening of the New State Capitol after completion of its renovation.","path":["KRS Chapter 11"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56976","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:27Z","sha256":"12a143365c8eb3adac39718250a2bdc832bd8cab2c3408502b2bdfa9ef472099","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-11.027","next":"us-ky/krs-11.030"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
