{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-116.046","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 116.046","heading":"Voter registration forms for public high schools, area technology centers,","body":"and private schools -- Public education program.\n(1) The county clerk shall provide voter registration forms annually to each principal or\nassistant principal of every  public high school, each area technology center, and\nprivate schools, and each school shall have a designated person who shall be\nresponsible for informing students and school personnel of the availability of the\nregistration forms and assist them in prop erly registering. The completed forms\nshall be returned to the county clerk, for official registration by the county clerk.\n(2) Any person designated to assist in registration in subsection (1) of this section shall\nfulfill this responsibility in an impart ial and fair manner and shall not recruit a\nregistrant for any particular party.\n(3) The State Board of Education shall implement annual programs of public education\nregarding elections, voting procedures, and election fraud, which shall include an\naudio-visual presentation for high school juniors and seniors. The State Board of\nEducation, after consultation with the State Board of Elections, shall update the\npublic education programs required by this section as relevant statutory changes\noccur, as different types of voting systems are used, or as more effective methods of\npresentation shall be developed.","path":["KRS Chapter 116"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51641","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:11Z","sha256":"d7fb6b5f066b5b594aaef7762f13750ad01de07667b4d17b079b3267623a000d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-116.0455","next":"us-ky/krs-116.047"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
