{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-117.056","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 117.056","heading":"Maintenance of boundaries of election precincts.","body":"(1) The provisions of KRS 117.055 notwithstanding, the county boards of elections\nshall maintain the boundaries of election precincts from January 1 of each year\nending in \"0\" until the termination of the next following regular or extraordinary\nsession of the General Assembly which enacts congressional and state legislative\nredistricting legislation following receipt of the decennial United States Census of\nPopulation.\n(2) If any county board of elections fails to perform the duty placed upon it by\nsubsection (1) of this section, the State Board of Elections shall apply to the Circuit\nCourt of the county for a writ of mandamus requiring the county board to perform\nthis duty.","path":["KRS Chapter 117"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=49900","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:12Z","sha256":"7d9b9f817aaf3e5f52391d70421a6ff5d62399a1c654eb041ed89c0b938a311b","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-117.0557","next":"us-ky/krs-117.057"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
