{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-117.105","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 117.105","heading":"Purchase or lease of voting systems.","body":"(1) The legislative body of any county, urban -county government, charter county,\nconsolidated local government, or unified local government shall purchase or lease,\nfrom available funds or from the proceeds of bonds which may be issued for that\npurpose, voting  systems for use in primaries, regular elections, and special\nelections.\n(2) Any voting system purchased, leased, or otherwise acquired by the legislative body\nof any county, urban -county government, charter county, consolidated local\ngovernment, or unifie d local government on or after June 29, 2021, shall comply\nwith the requirements of KRS 117.125.\n(3) Nothing in this section shall prohibit a county board of elections from performing\nmaintenance on voting equipment that has been previously certified by th e State\nBoard of Elections and is in use on June 29, 2021.","path":["KRS Chapter 117"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51654","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:12Z","sha256":"cf822233bd35ac28b96eccebcf427d95219404d0fdfa4cc32801bc7a09d4239e","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-117.100","next":"us-ky/krs-117.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
