{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-117a.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 117A.050","heading":"Registration to vote -- Postcard  application or equivalent --","body":"Declaration  accompanying  federal ballot -- Electronic transmission\nsystem.\n(1) To  apply to register to vote, in addition to any other approved method, a\ncovered voter may  use a federal postcard application, or the application's\nelectronic equivalent.\n(2) A  covered voter may  use the declaration accompanying a federal write-in\nabsentee ballot to apply to register to vote simultaneously with the submission\nof the federal write-in absentee ballot, if the declaration is received during the\nperiod registration is open under KRS  116.045. If the declaration is received\nafter the last day of registration under KRS  116.045, it shall be treated as an\napplication to register to vote for subsequent elections.\n(3) The  State Board of Elections shall ensure that the electronic transmission\nsystem described in KRS  117A.030(4) is capable of accepting both a federal\npostcard application and any other approved electronic registration application\nsent to the appropriate election official.
