{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-118.245","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 118.245","heading":"Number of votes necessary to nominate candidates -- Section not","body":"applicable to presidential primaries.\n(1) The candidate for office receiving the highest number of votes in a primary for the\noffice for which he or she is a candidate shall be t he nominee of his or her party for\nthat office and shall receive the certificate of nomination.\n(2) If two (2) or more candidates in a primary are found to have received the highest\nand an equal number of votes for nomination to the same office, the electi on shall\nbe determined by lot in the manner the board directs, in the presence of not less than\nthree (3) other persons.
